Opportunity to Support the Dharma

Got any extra dollars lying around looking for something important and valuable to do?

An-shu Stephen K. Hayes is working to assist his friend Lama Kunga Dhondup, principal of Sakya Pema T'sal Monastic School in Pokhara, Nepal , in fundraising for programs for his teenage monks.

Last year, An-shu and friends sponsored the Pema T'sal monks' trip to visit the throne-holder headmaster of the Sakya order as he conducted the Vajrakilaya Grand Rites as a way of overcoming and banishing obstacles to individual enlightement and peace in the world community.

More trips are planned. The monks travel extremely frugally and live spartanly, so contributing even a few dollars goes a long way towards helping them attain their goal. Full sponsorship of 1 monk is $500. Blue Lotus Assembly is registered with the USA IRS as a 501 (c) 3 charity, so all donations are legally tax deductible.

An-shu was invited to attend as a participant in the 2008 Losar Vajrakilaya rites, held at Pema T'sal Monastic Institute in the mountainous region of Nepal just south of the Tibetan border in February 2008. If you can help him to help his friends keep up their studeis, much good merit will be yours.
